Today we met Ivan in town for lunch and browsing the stores. We had initially planned to go to the Club21 bazaar at the F1 building but after being in the hot, hot heat and hearing about Ivan's and my sister's nightmarish experience last year, we pretty much decided to just hang around in town.
It turned out to be a pretty good decision. Fui had been looking for a Dior homme backpack and although she did not manage to locate it, we found a slew of sheer Dior homme tees in navy and white at Club21men retaling for about SGD$229. After buying a grey tee from The Row by the Olsen twins for about SGD$800, anything below that seems like steal now.
A designer I'll be keeping my eye on is the Bulgarian designer Peter Petrov. I tried on two of his shirts at Blackjack designed a la Alex Wang S/S 09 with the draped open back. His stuff falls into the basics with a twist category, perhaps a bit more conceptual than the likes of Helmut Lang. Definitely one to watch!-Hairin
