Come Thanksgiving, the dorm might be much emptier with everyone back home and it seems pretty lonely, but people from other states do come over to visit, or some friends like Ivan, would take a 20-hour flight from home to give thanks together. Last year, we rented a suite to throw a mini party for our friends in the Thompson Hotel LES, the newest addition of hip hotels to the Lower East Side.

The view was fantastic from the terrace. The Andy Warhol pool wasn't ready, but it looked pretty cool anyways. And waking up to breakfast out in the terrace with the clear blue sky as our ceiling, and that whole chillout LES vibe was just unforgettable.

Then comes Spring break. Those lucky UK students get to spend 3 weeks of their springtime bumming or traveling to places of their choice. And YY, another dearest friend, chose to take the 8-hr flight down to see us.

We drop by Central Park where just about everyone is out there basking in the sun on the much-missed green grass patches, and we also sample wonderful desserts at The Plaza. Springtime, flowers, awesome weather and happy reunions, what more can I ask for?

If I don't stop talking about New York, I'm gonna start missing it too much for myself to bear. But lastly, here's to my awesome roommates, Vivian and Crystal: take care in Shanghai and California, i miss you guys already.
