I'm wearing: jacket bcbg. tank french connection. jeans lgb. wedges old navy. watch vintage. bracelet from quintessential.
My jeans were purchased about 3 weeks ago at the Blackjack sale for 50% off its original price. I remember first coming across LGB and seeing the jeans on Jane from seaofshoes. It was an amazing pair of jeans(denim AND leather sewn together!!) and I spent that morning researching the label. I was over the moon when I found an entire range of LGB pieces at Blackjack and saw the jeans(the LAST pair, in my size and on sale!). I love the subtle bondage references.. the double zipper at the top and at the pockets as well as the leather at the top of the jeans. I would ideally wear it with a loose white tee or tank but the last-minute wedding lunch I attended today called for something a little more formal.
Over my French Connection tank I'm wearing a BCBG jacket purchased from the BCBG flagship store on Madison Avenue last November. I wandered into the store after a long day of shopping on the Upper East Side the day after Thanksgiving and was running out of time with Ivan waiting outside the dressing room. It was a toss up between a boyfriend blazer in the same colour or this cropped jacket and I remember Ivan telling me to go for this cropped number. I subsequently wore it to my Tibi interview and it has been a welcome addition to my wadrobe, being able to pull an outfit together instantly.
One thing I love about clothes is the memories each article of clothing is able to evoke and eventually every garment evolves from being just a piece of clothing to something that holds memories about when and where it was purchased, the places it was worn to and the events that unfolded when the item was worn.-Hairin
